What's inside

Payments received, in detail.

Coming soon
  • Late fees
  1. Part and advance payments

Record part payments against an invoice. Spreading one payment across several invoices, oldest first, and holding advances and overpayments as client credit, are coming soon.

  2. TDS and other deductionsComing soon

When a client holds back part of a payment as TDS, you will record it and the invoice will still show Paid. Deductions will appear in your reports.

  3. Post-dated chequesComing soon

You will record a cheque with its date. The invoice will show Cheque held until it clears, and you will get a reminder before each deposit date.

  4. Promises and disputes

Record a promised date and reminders pause until then. A disputed invoice stopping reminders until it is resolved is coming soon.

  5. Foreign currencyComing soon

If a payment in another currency arrives short after bank charges, the difference will be recorded as a charge. The invoice will not be left with a small unpaid balance.

In practice

A client pays in two parts

  1. Part of an invoice arrives by bank transfer, and Finance records it.

  2. The rest arrives by cheque a week later.

  3. Finance records the cheque, and the invoice shows Paid.
